OK I am looking at buying rims and tires for my R. I am getting turf tamer tires set on that. Now the rims i am getting feedback form both sides. Should i go with the better top end 9inch? or the better accel. 8 inch? I heard 8's have alot of roll in the corners. I heard 9's take up alot mroe weight. Please help me here!:(

Exman..

hmmmm..i started thinking the same questions but leaning to 8" cause it hassle to get mx 9" stuff.

Wonder if bead seal is an issue with the 9" non beadlock?

i heard beads on 9 non-beadlocks pop easy. I also heard 9's are a lil rougher but it is better in loamy corners. Now 8's say are more cushy off jumps........

JMO but I would go with the 9" rims just to get rid of some rubber :D I also think they look better, but thats JMO.

9's may look better but they will bend alot eaiser cause it would be eaiser to bottom out. how would you get better acceleration with 8 inch rims as opossed to 9 inch rims. if the tire size it the same wouldnt you get the same acceleration. i would go with the 8 inchers.

hmmmm :ermm: sometimes I wonder if some of you people have even riden a atv. how does wheel size effect your gearing? if you ride mx only go with a 18". I dont think they make turfs on 9s anymore so guess you dont have a choice on that and your stuck with 8s. choosing 8s or 9s all depends on the track and how you would like your ride to be. 8s will probly be better on average in my opinion. also rubber weighs more than alum. so a bigger wheel size will give you a lighter overall weight.

18s on 8s would be a good choice for MX.

I ride HARD and I never had a problem with my 18's popping the bead.
