My 2002 EX has about 50 hours on it now , and I am wondering if
its worth it to get the valves looked at and adjusted. The motor runs like a top so it might be a waste of money, besides how much could the valves be out anyway. Has anyone NOT had their valves adjusted since they got their bikes?

I would do it yourself. Takes very little work, done in 15 minutes.

Thanks Jabber, stop by sometime and bring your tools.

Actually there is a post in the "Do it yourself" section on how to adjust your valves. Purty pictures and everything. I followed the directions and it was very easy. Took only 4 tools. Feeler guage, cresent wrench, big honkin allen wrench, and a flatblade screwdriver, and 3 beers. I'll plan a trip in the summer. We'll go riding.

Valve adjustment is fairly easy and necessary. Just take your time and be sure not to get them too tight. Too tight and you run the risk of overheating (burning) the valves.
