its on e-bay for 500 right now. it actually looks like its done right. i like how it looks too maybe i'll look into this conversion. i bet the frame would hold up with some gussets. let me know what you think about it. its awsome just my 2 cents.

a 300ex would never match the handlin of a 400ex... i know ur gonna say it does but face the facts they dont' even compare...

doesnt a 250r frame handle better than a 300ex? isnt the 250r lighter? that was a stupid conversion. Lets put a CR80 in a raptor frame...

not as good in the woods? the 400 has better handling overall but the 400 doesn't turn as sharp cuz the 300 is shorter and it turns tighter. i mean i would rather have a 250r but if i can just put the motor in the quad i already have which i like because i can throw it around and stuff i think thats a good idea. but if you guys wanna start a fund for me to get a 250r or a 400 start sending the money :devil

I think its cool, its definately different than what everyone else does. I agree with rider-400ex, if a friend of yours has a 250R motor lying around or something, why not get it and put it in there, it cant make it any worse.

thats a god idea id like to find a 250r motor rebuild it and put it in my 30 but the making of a pipe would probably be a pain in the but because its a 2 stroke and it has to be perfect. But if i could find a 250 r motor cheap that would be a sick ride i bet

Dumb Idea, period! And yes, it can and will make it worse.

The 300ex chassis wont hold up to an R motor, the 300ex would have a hard time holding up a 300ex motor if it was ridden hard (and the 300ex motor is build for the 300ex's frame). It would be very hard to get the mounts very strong for the r motor.
The suspension travel on a 300ex is a joke!
You say its good that chassis is shorter? My R's front-end will come up very easy, and My chassis is about 6 inches longer than a 300ex's (I have both quads). It would be a great feeling having your front-end in the air heading straight for a tree wouldn't it?
The 300ex chassis isnt wide enought. YEAH YEAH Bull***** you want it that narrow! A stock width 250r is about 3-4" wider than a 300ex and it is even too narrow for a decently built R motor (good luck on finding a stock one). Ever seen the holeshot of an XC race? Half of them are on two wheels, and they're purty much all wider than a stock width 300ex.
And when you wana try and sell that hybrid 250r powered 300ex, you wont get as much as a stock 300ex.

Personally, I would just take the $550-$900 you would pay for a GOOD 250R motor, and save it for a 250r.
