High Point...has anyone here done this jump??

Thats an amazing step-up... how many feet is that? How big is the run up to it. I would probably try it, but would case it for sure.

I think its a good 70 feet or so. You have a loooong run at it.

Set of jumps that run along the pits before the finish line. A nice big double, thena double/table jump, both launch you pretty good!!

i'd make it 5th gear insurance... ur gonna need everything u got... u got the motor and the suspension (axis narrow 500link laeger) u just gotta nut up and do it... but don't back out or screw up bc ur dead...

I canot see where the first jumps is thats lauching him up to clear the step up. I would try to clear with my friends connondale moto-4 the thing is has crazy suspension.

Well the only jump doable on a quad today was doubling the triple step up which was easy. They watered last nite, not thinking it was gonna rain, and lo and behold...whatya know...it fuggin rained!! 1st moto was a muddy crapfest. And the 2nd moto was a rutfest...im talkin ruts deep enough 80's hubs were buried...not a quad friendly day! I skipped practice, (I wanted a running quad at the end of the day!!) And to top it off we got 3 laps...I was gonna do pit row 4th lap...but wait there were only 3..:grr :mad:

i heard on the news thats a 13 year old wrecked and died...sad

seems like last couple races in waynesburg(highpoint and arena cross) atleast sumbody got hurt or died

I'm not sure what happened to him. MY friend's brother said 2 kids were life flighted. One supposedly went into cardiac arrest.

I just got done talkin to one of my friends,(he races 250b,4stroke, and open b/c)

he said he used to do that jump n his cr and yz80...he also mentioned thats its really easy, bt then again its not a quad

that jump is crazy last year at the nats a kid in my class in open c tryed it but came up way short and went over the bars i would say he aas hurting but i guess stuff like that happens in c class but if u try it i would be 4th pined or maybe 5th half just to be sure just make sure u dont over shoot it 2 bad cuz u have the turn as soon as u land

I did it last year at the National. 4th gear pinned took me over it. All of the jumps at High Point are easy. If you hit it with enough speed you will be fine.

Man that is terrible about those kids. We have lost a lot of guys racin this year. Man and being a kid and racin too man that makes me scared. But that is terrible my thouhgts an prayers will be with his family

ok my friends mother saw it, the kid wrecked, and as he was pickin up his bike another kid landed on him- thats from her, and her son raced in that class I think

it was in the 80 class, he was only 13 years old

but I dont think it was on this jump

my thoughts and prayers are out to the family too..


high point is supposely going to be takin off of the nat race list, but not becaus eof this, because of the riots

I was just messin around, but yeah youre definitely right..all those things are possible when you get large crowds and alcohol. So remember when you go to the races, leave your beer at home, unless of course youre responsible, and arent drinking to get drunk. I mean yeah my dad and my friends dads and a lotta the other adults will sit around the camp fire when we camp out and have a few cold ones, and tell some stories and talk and stuff.



And yes, it is the jump the guy on the trike tried.
