crf 450 or yzf?

which is better to go with? i was thinking a yz 426 because it wouldnt need de stroking for what do you think?

Youre at a Honda site what u think is going to get chose more..I personally am neutral,Yamaha always out run honda's in speed..From what i have read the Yama tends to be a faster bike.But i would be 100% fine with what ever motor was givin to me

I would go with the Honda detune it to a 440. The 426 is hard to start when they get hot!!! But they both rip so whatever you like better!!

i hear the 426 is going to be faster but the 450 is gunna be a better smoother power range. Either way ur gunna rip ***. But id take the 450. ( if i had a choice )

i rode walshs crf440 and thought it was crazy, i would prolly go with a crf. i have heard the same thing that the new yz450f is supposed to eat crfs up but ive also heard that the 4speed tranny on it kinda makes it weird.

man that hard starting stuff is just from the honda guys... I have seen Forum kick his bike over 3 times and everytime it will start right away... you have to get the hang of it too...

the yzf 426/450 motor is a lot better to ride (my .2) becuase it has tones of pull, accleration, snap, torque... alround yamaha makes the better bike!!!!...

well if money is no problem, then go with either crf or yzf450. if u want a smooth powerband get the crf, if u want a hard hittin powerband then get the yzf. that bein said, they r both comparable in power. just the powerband u like. now if on a tight budget then go with the 426. u can get them cheaper, and they r still a great engine. thats my 2 cents.
