Anyone else have this problem? I bought them from Rath, put them on my TCS-SCS shocks, they looked good, had room to play on the springs, but go out jumping and they pop off the top of the spring when the A-arm comes down. Do I need to buy long travel covers?

the tcs shocks are not stock shock dimensions. Therefore if you are using stock size shockwears that might be tohe problem. If you call outerwears directly they can assist you. The order number for the TCS shock covers is 505 from outwears.
If you already have these covers I specified then I dont know what your problem is
Hope I helped,
John

i'm having the same problem with my elka shock covers on the elka front shocks i have. Only one front one does it. The rear cover and the other front cover stay on fine.

I really have had it with shock covers. I bought Elka Covers for my elkas, paid like $45 and they fit terrible.
Screw Shock covers! :devil

My shock covers fit my Elka's quite well. I dont really want to ride without them because they will get way dirtier. If they dont fit properly find a pair that fits.

Just thought I'd throw in a pic of my ride. I think it looks better without shock covers anyways. :blah

I had the company(www.shockcovers.com) that makes "Shockers" shock covers make them to the length of my TCS zero preloads. They'll custom make them to any length you want at no extra charge, plus they're fast too.

I had the same problem with a set of Shockwears I had on an old LT250R with stock shocks. When the springs compress and rebound suddenly the shockwear would only be covering about 2/3 of the shock. I just struggled through for a little while but then I started noticing the coloring on my springs was being worn off. Also, I'd go ride for an afternoon and then come home and when I'd remove the shock cover there'd be muddy water in there. I figured I'd take my chances with a rock flying into my shock rather than having the shockwear wear the paint off my springs and then having them hold dirty water to boot.

im not sure what ELKA uses as meterial for their shockwares but PEP use neoprene like wetsuit meterial so that it stretches with the extension of the shock and when it sag it is tight as well, call wayne over at PEP and pick some up they will fit great and theres no wait :p

Yes, i agree, I put a set of "outerwears" on a couple of months ago...now thanks to them, a considerable amount of paint is worn off the shocks!

Wanted to try those black Neoprenes but Baldwins have been out of stock past 2 calls....:(

I really don't like the Elka Shock Covers. I wasted $45 on shock covers that I have not even used once. :o :confused2 :scary:

Well my covers arent Elka's, They are Outerwears, I would rather have the neoprene ones, but I am too lazy to order them, because these are working fine for me at the moment.

I have the neoprene covers on my elkas and they don't pop off but the cover does kinda get crimped at the top were the SSD spring is at.. the peps are not gonna have that problem because they do not have the same type of SSD spring that elka and TCS use....
