we got home today after spending a mere 46 days in a desert in SW asia. kinda funny it took me 10 days to get there an 26 hrs to get back. i left at 0100 in the morning, went through germany, canada then finally here at 5:00 in the evening. time changes are cool. just thought i would share that with every one. just in case you want to know where, i cant say.

Hey man CONGRATS on getting back from the war. I wish I could say the same thing but i'm still over here waiting on Air Lift back home. It's kinda funny how it's no problem for them to get us over here but when it comes time to leave it takes forever.

on our way home we stopped in gander canada, on the very east coast. in one day i was in 4 different countries, that was cool. the weather was hot one day and chilly the next. about every third day the the wind blew up to 50knots, dont know what that is in mph. i only got to go from work and back to the tent, i wish i could have gone foward but didnt get the chance. i was working mids, so didnt get the sun tan the guys on days did:cool: we waited about 2 weeks for air lift and finally got it 5 C-17s and 2 C-5s

What's your AFSC? I was a Security Policeman when I was in the USAF. I got out in 99' after my 1st term. Glad to hear you got to get back especially after only 46 days. My old squadron has been turning out rotating 30 man flights that stay out in the gulf no less than 90 to 180 days. The whole squadron is deployed, but since the war is over, will hopefully be returning to it's normal functions. Hope all is well. Huah!

Our guys got home at 5 thismorning. They came in on a MD-11. I was over there a couple years ago and really don't want to go back. There is absolutely nothing to do. The one thing that is cool is that you don't get taxed while you are there. SO you make bank. Plus there is nothing to spend your money on. The crazy thing about coming home is that you see sand every minute of everyday and everything is sand colored then when you get home you actually see green. That is a weird feeling. It's kindof tripy in a way. We have A-10's My AFSC is 2A651A. I work on Jet engines.
