does anybody know what grabbar will fit on a 400ex if i cut a piece of the old one off and weld on mounts?

i believe it is the 250r's grab bars that will work in the 400 but you do need to make the mounting tab bracket whatever i may be wrong about the 250r grab bar but im pretty sure it is the R's

I HAVE ONE FROM PRM THAT BOLTS ON TO THE SUB FRAME WITHOUT CUTTING OR WELDING. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED I WILL SELL THE ONE I HAVE. NEVER INSTALLED IT, BRAND NEW STILL IN BOX.

Im looking for one also. You need to cut the rear of the 400ex subframe off, That allows you to mount and 88-89 250r grab bars. The 86-87 will alos work but you need to do some drillign and cutting on the grab bar. Im lookign for an AC but there are out of stock eveywhere, gotta wait till AC runs through the cycle of 250r grab bars again...

why...?:ermm: just use whats there. Aftermarket grab bars always seemed a waste of money to me unless the stock one broke. And seeing as how the 400ex doesnt come off... why waste time and money on doin that...?

Well, because if you crash, you might bend your WHOLE subframe. Thus, using a grabbar, it will most likely just bend that.
