Do you have a knob on your shocks to change the compression?? Otherwise, I do not think there is a way to "tighten them up". The shocks should have come to you set at your weight and type of riding. The only other option I know is to send them to get rebuilt to your specs, and let them know that they are currently "extremely soft". Good luck!

did you buy them for longer a-arms,,,they are supposed to feel soft,i thought that also when i put them on,it seemed like they would bottom out easy, but ride hard on them and you will see that they work great and you can jumo high, its the valving it plays tricks...here is a pic with the kind i have

i bought them used a few times off of ebay, it says theyre set up for a 150lb rider and im 140. when i jump on my front bumper i can bottom them out and i couldnt with my stock shocks. i dont believe theyre set up for extended a-arms. i pushed the valve and gas came out so it has some in it but i dont know how much.

if they were set up for extended a-arms they would be really really hard.
