You need to talk to str8wicked( i think that is how he spells it) he is the master at that ****. I think prob about 4 18" subs with 4 1000 wat amps would do . :macho

Build or buy yourself a ported box.

I would say 2 12" subs in a ported box with about 1000w each to them will get your very close to 150.

Id get 2 Fosgate HX2, and 2 1000bd amps.,

I could build ya a box if ya needed but it probably aint to cheap.

Heres my system http://www.sounddomain.com/id/trick440ex

Actually I was thinking a hatch back or a Truck, you might need more sub if its in the trunk. Then again anythings possible with a proper install.

anything can easily be done. Try 3 kicker comp 12's, 1000w amp, 250w amp, 2 6x9 one way's, 2 5 1/2's, lightning cap, 7 band eq and a whole lot of wiring.........all in a standard cab F150 with plenty of leg room....

Just crank her arse up for a nice back masage after a long day of riding :D

Kicker Solo-Barics are great subs, and so are the JL Audio W6 series.

MTX makes a great box already loaded with subs for your Chevy.
They are called thunderforms. I have one in my Tacoma (loaded with a 10), and it absolutely rocks.

no problem, you may spend a little more money for one, but its worth it. The fit is flawless, and the box is seamless so there is no chance of it ever failing.

Im running 3 12" JL Audio W3s D4 subs on a rockford 800a2 amp with a kenwood unit it hits 152.8 its pretty impressive !! oh yeah its in a 91 s-10 ext cab lowered on 18s !!

With a mustang your work is easier. Smaller cars with stiffer panels hit higher SPL's with less cone area and/or fewer watts. I watched a guy in an Eclipse hit 145db with just 2 RF power 12's and 500W. A pair of really good 12's or 15's and about 1000W should get you there. What's your budget?

Maybe some of you guys can help me out also..

I've got a 95 F-150 single cab and I'd like to buy a sub and amp for, just something for alittle bump you know? but I'd like to keep my seat all the way back instead of having my belly right next to the steering wheel (Im a pretty big kid) and I'd also like something cheep but will sound good. I was either thinking of going with a 10" or a 8" pioneer sub with an amp from wal-mart, (10" sub $56 and a 450 sony punch watt amp is about 100 bucks)

What do you guys think I should do? Any suggestions I'll appreciate(sp)

here ya go porkchop
http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/enclosures/FRP20.cfm hopefully the box would work in your truck, too, since its a 95.
as far as car stereo equipment goes, just like anything else, you get what you pay for.

A friend of mine had 16 12's in a Camaro.............so 2 18's should be a piece of cake. He has one of the USAC or IASCA records back in 1995 or so. If you wanna get in the 150db range your back seat will have to go & your 0-60 time will be going down a little, but if you wanna be load ya gotta do what ya gotta do.............I miss my big *** car stereo days..........now they get on my nerves when one pulls up next to me.............go figure. :ermm:

i dont think my seat will have too go for me to hit 150... it might, but i have seen a GTP grand prix, the supercharged ones, with 2 15 inch kove audio subs on 800 watts *400 a piece*, hit 153 at a competition... i blew my kove subs, but found out now they have a warrentee, so i get brand new, should i build a good box? and actually use the kove stuff? i only had 1 sub hooked up at a time, and i ended up blowing them both, my 1 12 inch kove sub would POUND.... so i am thinkin 2 of them with 1000 each hooked up would pound, but i need a new cd deck *for controlls what do you recomend?* the subs are $700 a piece, but i have that taken care of, i am tryin to sell my 400ex for 3k and that is my budget

thanks btw :huh lots of info

I got 2 12" L7s with a Power 800a2 amp running them and I think I am in the 145 range. If I have another 800a2 I would easily be in the 150s.

Got two Infinity Kappa Perfect 12's in my S-10 x-cab and a Soundstream Reference 405 running everything (mids/highs/subs). I'm planning on changing amps later, not enough watts from the Soundstream (a very clean, almost indestructable amp though). I'm thinkin' Fosgate 1000bd for subs, and 90x4 for mids/highs.

I think as you get older and richer, the emphasis turns from sound quantity to sound quality. I still like my bass to hit hard, I just want to hear the words now, too.

Thats true. I got into the car audio scene as a basshead, but I eventually turned into an audiophile, and the current system I have in my truck, I built for the 151-300W sound-q class (even though it has 4 10" JL subs). Bass is cool for shaking your car apart, but it's nice to have crisp mids and highs as well as thundering lows.
