They have built them, and when I was told to go buy one from them, it was under $150!.. not sure its still that cheap now. They are also professionaly made, not saying you cant build one. But its a science to get all the HP out of it as you can, and a homemade ones often leach out that needed HP that your looking for.

i dont know about that but i DO know that the 1985 Honda CR500r WAS the fastest cr500 made, since then they detuned the engines. Another thing thing that is ALWAYS good about the cr500's- NO EXHAUST/POWER VALUES. Honda claimed that the cr500 already had too much power, so adding the "power value" would just make it even MORE wild!!!
One of my favorite lines from a Honda flier about the cr500 was " it throws more dirt then a nirto-methanol powered back-hoe!"

you arent bothering me,the bike is at a stand still at the moment,when it gets picture worthy,ill post them,i usually see those motors every onece in awhile go for 1000.00
with all the electrical and carb.
if interrested in something like that,ill keep an eye out.
