Just built a 416 and was wondering if anyone had any recomondations for an after market carb. I've been looking into a fcr 39mm but dont know much about it. Also wondering if anyone has used the edelbrock carbs.

I don't have a 416 kit, but I do have a few mods and my favorite, the one that made the biggest overall difference, was the FCR 39mm carb. I love it.

Will i benifit with the fcr considering i have port and polish plus oversided intake?

Mine is ported and polished, too. I don't know about the oversized intake.

H_W are you using any pre filters on your k n?

fcr is the #1 choice here then edelbrock. If you run wide open the lectron could work for you and is less $$$

Im having trouble getting it to run with the stock carb. does the port and polish have anything to do with that?

I had a pre-filter on my K & N, but it wore a big hole in it (I had it for 2 years). I threw it away and I have not bought another one. I did buy another K & N air filter so that I could keep a clean one ready to put on.

My pick is the Fcr 39. This carb is excellent. The jetting may be a little tricky, but it is SOOOO worth it :D

Just ordered my fcr 39 today. Had it overnighted. will let you know what i think. after installation is complete.

I was thinking about getting the fcr 39mm and I want to know if I put the carb they have nothing else to do after I put it.And who make the FCR 39 mm??
