View Full Version : Trouble finding feeler gauge

I'm having trouble locating feeler gages smaller than .005"

I'm doing valve adjustments on all of our quads soon and one of them requires a .002" for crying out loud!

Any recommendations for an online vendor?

Thanks!

Chapparal part num 315-0823 .002/.003" Motion Pro feeler guage. $3.99 I found one at a local autoparts store, had to bend it myself, no biggie.

I swear this site is magic! Not 30 minutes after I posted, a Snap-On truck pulled up next door to my office. Got a pack of gages down to .0015 for about 8 bucks!

Just the same, thanks for the detailed reply MikeL250X !

Just a FYI for anyone else.....if you have a Sears near you, they should have them...I got one for $8.00 as well that goes down to .0015.

wow...

I've never found anything on the snap-on truck that was under $20, let alone $8 :D

Great tools, but they are not cheap...!

Make sure you have a torque wrench as well. You must torque those jam nuts....;)

Will do, thanks for the heads up. I usually work "by the book" anyways. As far as the gauge set I bought, it wasnt marked "snap-on" so I guess you'd normally have to pay for the stamp. ;)
