Nerfs for 400EX

Whats the best nerfs for a 400ex? I have looked at several and can't really tell anything about them by the pictures. Should I get ones with the pegs or use the stock pegs? Thanks for any help. JP

Get the AC Pro-Pegs. Do any of you guys have any pictures of the Pro-Pegs? I`m either going to save for Rear Razr`s with Douglas Beadlocks, Nerf Bars, Steering Stabilizer, or Something else. I`m not sure what to do.

Do they stick out past the Rear Tires? Should I save for Engine Work next, and then get the Tires and Rims, or should I get the Tires and Rims first?

Like to the sides? A little bit, actually i think that they are about even with the razrs and the +4 axle...i know that they stick a whole lot farther than dg's

Yeah to the sides. Do you have your axle all the way out? I don`t want the Nerf Bars sticking out a lot in case I would smash a tree.

Yes, i have it as wide as it gets. They wont stick out far enough to hit a tree, but i know mine went out a little, like maybe 3/4 of an inch. And if you do hit a tree with them, dont worry, it wont hurt them!

I have a stock axle and tires though. If it sticks past your rear tires then it will mine for sure. I don`t think they would bend if I hit a tree either.

ac pro pegs! these things are great. their really heavy duty. i've seen the standard AC's and i was a bit worried when i ordered my pro pegs but these things are TOUGH! i got mine for 170 from atv addiction and u can get em for the same price at marcums. i like em a lot. especially with the heel gaurds. best nerfs i've ever seen.

i have both and the propegs are way better, they are alot sturdier and more effective sence their bigger, just get some and youll see,,plus they got the nifty heel guard thingy

Hey X-rider thats cool. i have the same bars same nets and same blue sticker on mine!!! I wanted the red stickers but AC Racing said they will no longer make colored stickers that they will only be black from now on.

lol my ac stickers suck. i have a blue one on one side and a black one on the other :confused:

while i've had no problems with the std. and i don't feel the propegs are a must. I'll stick with std. till they break

How about a picture from the top or bottom side so I can see just how big the Pro Pegs really are, and how far they stick out past the sides of the tires

I would also like to see a picture from the side. The pro-pegs are huge. I don`t want them to stick way past my tires. I have the stock axle, rims, tires, everything. I think I`m going to get the Standard Nerf Bars.

I have DG nerfs and love them because they support your heel when you lean back.

used to think they were only for motocross and tt to keep the tires from tangling up. found out they are essential for fast trail riding and hare scrambles. keeps trees from hooking the rear tires and slamming you. plus you can make way better times cutting around trees. just let the nerfs slide you off the trees. I run a/c propegs, their built like a tank.

Does anyone have thought on the DG kromelite nerfs(whatever they are called theyre the most expensive ones) I have a pair and havent put them on yet, I might take them back and get some AC Pro Peg.

Do it, they are the $90 steel ones that have been chromed (weakens the metal). DG has a bad history of bending easily. I got standard ac nerfs and they work great for me. Check out my link in the sig for mounting pics.
