Hey my friend has a 400ex and when u pull back and forth on the side of the front tire it is loose alittle bitand makes a tick noise and shakes what is this and what causes it? and how can it be fixed? any info

loose bearings...buy some new bearings, your tire will eventually fall of if you keep riding it like that & you will die! :D

there's a good chance that it's the a-arm bushing(s)

could either be the bearings or the a-arm bushings but i'd think it'd be the wheel bearings

if you get the front end off the ground wiggle the wheel a little bit and see if thats whats doing it or if its at the a-arm bolts

could also be a ball joint going. when they wear out they will get a little sloppy. I would also look at the bearings

My 300 was just doing this. One of the a-arm nuts was loose. I torqued it down to the proper values, and no more looseness. I would suggest going over all the nuts and bolts and making sure everything is torqued down to the proper values. Then if you still have the problem start looking at bushings and bearings.

Obivously you check the rim lug nuts frist right? Other then that its any of those bears/bushings mentioned... And he will die if he does not replace them....:p

lol. mine was doing something similar, turned out to be A- arm bushings and lower shock bushing
