Let's see if you guys can help me? I picked up my 2002 400ex last thursday. Broke it in on sat. and then rode it hard on sun. Now I have never had a 400 before but this thing seems to bounce alot (rear tires I mean). I have not changed any suspension settings yet. My tire psi is 3.75 rear 4psi front. The front end soaks up whatever I through at it but the rear just hops along. I know it should be better then this. Help me out guys What should I do?

The stock ohtsu tires are bouncy radial type tires. they get awesome traction when set up right with the shock.

try lowering the compression on the rear shock try like 4-6 clicks from the lowest amount of comp.

that should help stop it from bouncing.

Yeah just lower the compression of the rear shock,,it will tell ya how in the owners manual,,,and it doesn't have clicks,,it's a smooth turn..;)

Well that did it guys . I rode that thing as hard as I could even though it was so cold I couldn't feel my fingers. Anyway I lowered both comp. and rebound settings now I can fly over the rough stuff. Thanks guys :D
