Hey everybody, I am looking for a new set of tires. But I am wondering which rim is stronger the stock 300ex with the rolled lip or a dougles .190
Also what would make a awesome trail tire and that will last a long time.
Looking to slap iton a 300ex. looking at siz 20x10x8

Need a tire that can withstand alot of abuse and that is not goign to bend on me.

Thanks in advanvce

Well the main difference is about 5 lbs..... the 190. is strong enough to take a beating with the big boys... If you want get the ones with the re-enforcment rings.....

5lbs difference between the 2 meaning that the .190 is the heavier, that's a big difference right there, umm I;lll hve a search around for some prices

For riding in the woods with trees and rocks that are just looking for a chance to take out a wheel, I'll take the stockers.

As for tires, I've pounded Maxxis Razrs (the 6-ply version) every way imaginable and haven't had a flat in the 3 years since I switched to Razrs, so I'd definitely say they're tough. The downside is that Razrs seem to have a bit softer tread compound than some other tires. While the compound is great for traction, it wears quicker. If you want longer wear then I'd go with Holeshot XCs.

The best tire and wheel protection device is your eyes, just look ahead and pick lines carefully.

ask anyone with a c'dale canibal how nice the 190's are. they suck! the reason being that they do not have a rolled edge. save up and buy hipers like me, i bought my fronts a little while ago and am working on the rears!

about 5lbs lighter... I know you thou, you ride a lot of dunes.. If you are getting the wheels for the dunes than get some blue label .125 rims.... Ecspecially in Glamis you really don't need the strength in the sand, but the lighter waight will be better than the .190's will be....

I got .190's right now with paddles on them which i will be selling soon to get a set of ,125 with some haulers on them...
