well, i wish i had mine ! but i had to send them back cause they sent me LT'S instead of standard travel. i would have kept the shocks ,but i wasn't paying more for them plus i just put on new houser's +2's..... and i would've lost money on that deal:( ........................i just want my shocks:ermm:

Todd @ TCS is rebuilding my stock rear as we speak and is also handling my TCS long travel fronts. I bought my stuff through C&D and have no complaints. I called Todd and verified all my information was correct and what he needed and he told me everything's cool. He'll get my rear rebuilt ASAP (within 5 days) and then send the fronts as soon as they're valved.

I rode TCS before getting my Axis. They were very good shocks and the price made them even more appealing. I'll be honest, I bought my Axis shocks because of the name. I always wanted them and when I got the money together I bought them. There's very little difference in the 2 IMO.

Can I ask WTF buying from TheQuadshop would've done about having the wrong shocks sent? TCS builds the shocks themselves and ships directly to the customer. Maybe they accidentally put the wrong set of shocks in his box. Honest mistake that could've happened to anybody.

Where is the best place to get TCS?

I love my TCS fronts, They are awesome.... the only complaint that I have with them is that they are kinda loud/squeeky & they are brand new, the noise seems to come from the screw part of the preload where the springs & spring dividers rub across & I don't see how I could get rid of that noise, but performance wise they rock.

Hey spiffy, I kind of get sick of the noise to so I was considering get the elka spacers for mine. The spring collars and crossover rings are one solid piece and made of the fiber plastic like works and the others. Totally noise free! They're 10 smacks a piece but on little problem. Their spacers are a little different so they would be a little different.

My only complaint is I HAVENT GOT MINE YET!!! I ordered my long travel TCS over a month and a half ago and I am still waiting. I was told about 3-4 weeks to my door. I called them up and they said they would be shipped that week. Waited for two and called them back they said they said they would be shipped that week. So I waited another week and still nothing. I am trying to call them again but I havent got off work in time. I am starting to get upset! But I had tcs regular travel before and they are well worth the money! It smooths out everything so much more you can easily go faster!

YLW400, the TCS are great. I had them set up for a mix of riding (MX, dunes, trails), and I couldn't be happier. I've only ridden dunes and some serious trails with them so far, and they took everything I threw at them. I just went up to LBL last weekend, and my cousin wanted to ride my EX to see how the TCS compared to his stock Raptor shocks. Let's just say I had a hard time getting him off my EX.

Dusty, I think my cousin may be calling you soon about a set. :D

Ive narrowed down my suspension choice to either Elka or TCS. Does anyone have alot of ride time on both ? What did you think? Thanx

10-14-2003, 03:29 PM
I like mine but they are kinda stiff. But..... they are valved for +2 arms with a 170 lb rider. I weigh 185-190 and i have the compression all the way down on stock arms and they are stiff but on the tack they kikk the crap outa stockers. But i rode some works and i like them better for crusin.

Alright, thats cool, I wasnt sure if it would be better to have TCS do the rear shock so they would match. I'll be sending out my rear shock in a couple weeks to you guys. Thanx for your help!
