strange motor moices????

when the quad is about between 1/4 1/2 throttle the motor makes like a rrrrrrrrrr noice and it goes away when you rev more and when you pull the clutch in the quad makes the noice when its about that rpm i thought there was sumthin in the oil and the oil smells like gas or burnt sumthin not axxly sure just canged it in middle march. and it does it in every gear at about the same rpm? anyone got a clue on what the heck is going on. im a lil careful on it now i dont want to brake anything

if you drain the oil you can tell by the color...and look at your filter...

mine did that but it turns out my clutch was shot....

the oil dont have like the rainbow rings in it from gas but it smells like it what should i look for in the filter? could it be the clutch? it is getting a lil slippy some times i notce then pulling out i stall

for a 2002 i wouldnt think the clutch has gone....perhaps out of adjustment....it could be so many things....you didnt switch from a synthetic oil to a regular oil did you?

castrol oil in a white contaner 10-w30 i had 10-w40 in it b4 that aving anything to do with it ? maybe too thin an oil what would be a better oil for a prety hot around 75- 90 weather
