Is the dial a jet very hard to install on a 300ex? And do you have to even have any jets? Because I have a pipe a filter with stock jetting but I want a little more throttle response and I dont no if I will need to also get a new main jet?

And does it come with directions?

I'm positive the Dial-A-Jet comes with directions and it's very easy to install. All you have to do is put one small hole in the tube connecting your airbox and carb, install the Dial-A-Jet jet in it, remove the carb drain line (at the bottom of the fuel bowl), hook up the hose from the Dial-A-Jet to the base of the fuel bowl, open the drain screw, and zip tie a vent hose for the dial-a-jet somewhere on your frame. A buddy of mine just installed one on his 350x that has an aftermarket full exhaust and filter, and the new setup seems to work great. The throttle response on his three wheeler is incredible and the Dial-A-Jet seems to fill in any lean spots as well.

Oh yeah, the Dial-A-Jet unit is adjustable so you can richen it or lean it out as needed.
