400ex After Market Case Savers - 16t

Can you run a 16-tooth front sprocket on a 400ex with an after market case saver? I would like to try out a 16t sprocket but don't want to risk throwing a chain. If not, I guess I can always drop down on the rear sprocket.

I think I've read that maybe duncan racing carries one,,but most other companies it won't,,I know I have a speedracing case saver and there's no way you could put a 16t on there.
