Buying a 400ex-have a question about a title

i am looking at a 400ex here in illinois and the guy says he bought it from kentucky and they do not have titles there-he says he can get me a bill of sale and i can get a title for it throught my local dmv. is this true anything else i should look at? the quad is a 2002 400ex for 3500.00. i thought it was a pretty good deal but wanted to check out the title thing

Id get the numbers from him to run at the local police department. Around here they will run the numbers for you but only if they feel like it:rolleyes: It might be stolen so just be careful. You can get a title through the DMV as long as its not stolen.
