need advice on torque settings on a-arm pivots. my 400ex has aftermarket arms but when I tension them to the required setting in the manual the suspension binds up, after they are loosened the suspension operates smoothly but I am worried about them vibrating loose if not tensioned properly?? any advice I was thinking about loctite on the nuts?

I had the same problem when I installed my +2 Herrmann's. If your nuts have the nylon head, it acts like a lock washer and you shouldn't have any probs. Just be sure you have at least 2 full threads protruding past the head. If the nuts aren't "ny-locks"....go buy some.
I just tightened mine up to the point where I could feel it starting to bind the free movement of the a arms.
Hope that helps...
