my right lower a-arm has some play in it where it attaches to the frame. wtf is the problem? worn bushings? seals? maybe i should just take it apart and find out maybe:huh :o

the spherical bearing is worn you need a new one, if its stock a arms ;)

If the bearing is bad, buy the kit from TM designs to replace it. The kit rebuilds all of them and lasts much longer.

Me and my friend Josh had this same problem when our '99 400EX's were new. It turned out to be a manufacturing defect in the a-arm. The groove that the locking ring sets in to hold the pivot bearing in place was a couple thousandths off and it allowed the bearing to actually slide back and forth in the tube.

I got a new A-arm from Honda even though my quad was about 2 months out of warranty.

The only way to know what the problem is, is to tear it down. I even replaced one of the bearings before I discovered the what the real problem was.
