Does any one know about rebuilding your back stock shock, to perform like an aftermarket shock to save money...how well does it work and is it a better ride, and how much does it cost...I read it on the project 400ex page, and they said the shock was rebuilt instead of buying a new one...

I had My rear shock rebuilt by TCS and it is very awesome. They did a outstanding job. IT cost about 350 to do it but very worth it.

PEP can respring and revalve your stock rear 400EX shock to either Limited Mass or ZPS. I know from experience that their Limited Mass rebuild is excellent, and Mark Baldwin told me that the ZPS stock rear rebuild is very close in performance to the PEP ZPS rear. I think for about $450 you can have your stock rear redone. A new ZPS rear is $895.
