yes if you do serious mx or traial riding. it helps keep junk from bouncing off your chest. and like in my case saved my ribs from being crushed when my bike rolled on top of me.

yeah occasionally

Yeah I wear one too. When it's cold out it defianately helps deflect some of the wind. And roost protection is a plus, and I look cool, excuse me cooler than normal

While we are on the subject of roost protection, I am thinking about getting a FOX Roost 2 protector. My question is where do I get the clear back part to put my name and number? Is this another piece I have to buy? Any help here Ex'ers?

I like mine alot and it wasn't that expensive, A.R.C Corona. It saved my friend from broken ribs and maybe even more, when he rolled his 400 and it landed on him! I'd say deffinately wear one, unless you like the feel of roost, branches and bars bouncing off your chest! :blah

I use to not wear one but now I do. I think they look cool and they help w/ the confidence a little knowing if I crash it won't hurt as bad.

I wear one now. I was at the races at Waterloo one night. I asked a guy if a chest proctector was worth it? He said yes and he would not ride with out one. It just so happened in the main I came over the table top and landed on 2 400's and rolled down the side. My ribs hurt for days! :scary: I just bought a new Thor Aftershock, it wasn't too expensive. Lots cheaper then an emergency room visit. ;)

Try www.brmoffroad.com - they do the graphics for chest protectors - they mount it on a clear plastic piece and you attach that to your chest protector! :)

I wear a chest protector each and EVERY time I ride....I have to protect my "investments" up front! :) Popping one of those would be embarrassing - not to mention expensive!:devil :blah :D

LOL! :D Gee....I'm all outta pics.....wouldn'tyaknowit! :D ;) jp!

BTW - chest protectors offer good shoulder protection, too - I'm sure mine has saved my shoulders a few times from serious injury - as well as my back. Had my quad hit me in the back a few times, too (don't ask how....) and if I hadn't been wearing my chest protector, I could have had some serious injuries. As it was I got up and kept riding......it can make all the difference in the world!!;)

After 5 broken ribs, 13 fractures in lower back, 1 punctured lung, $15,000 in medical bills and a slightly damaged liver, I won't start my quad without my chest protector on.

It's kinda funny how the one time you don't wear a piece of gear, you get hurt.

i bought one after my back tires on my ex caught the lip on our double and i almost got ran over from goin over the bars. that was the last crash i wanted to have without one. if anyone is looking for a good chest protecter i just got a six six one and it's awsome. it's comforable, looks sweet, has good airflow for hotter days. it was 100 bucks tho that is what sux. i havn't put it to a crash test yet thank god.
