New Honda Quad News

Just got back from the Honda Dealer. The owner is the only person there that isnt a dushe bag. I was bugging him like I always do on info about the new quad. He would always tell me he hasen't heard a thing.

This time i asked him when Honda would tell everyone about it, and he said he knows something. He can't talk about it untill June. He said they are going to tell everyone in June about the new 04 EX.

I dont know how much he knows, but I don't doubt him. I kept bugging him and he wouldnt give me any info. He might not know the info, just knows that theres a new sport quad coming. But what is he not telling me till June? I dunno.

My guess, we will hear something soon from some one else with more info. If the dealers know, some one will talk. Might be in the next months ATV mags.

You would think though, that if they were letting out a new quad, they would tell the dealers 2 months in advance.

yeah i think its true. hondas been hiding behind the closet door way to long. its time to come out and face the reality of the z400. they need something to whoop the chit out of it. wheter it be the new crf based quad or a nicely upgraded version of the 400ex.

some guy on ATVconnection replied and said its going to be a detuned 450crf motor, at around 35hp. But Yamaha's 450 coming out is going to be a bit more beefed up and "race ready" with a 48" stance. Its going to be announced next month.

He said the honda will have a 400ex frame, and will be ready to sell around December.

Sounds a lot like honda. =[ 35 is close to the raptors 37 though. A ton lighter too. I wonder if yamaha will get smart and copy a 250r frame.

well, not saying it won't happen but it will come out when it comes out. There has been rumors about this for a long time and there really isn't a point in speculating about it because we really know nothing about it and either way it will still come out at the same time. And when it does come out your still not gonna know a lot about it the way a lot of mags are now. We're just gonna have to wait and see how it compares and see what peeps think of it.

I will also believe it when I see it, I do agree that they need something though with all the sales they are losing and all, but this is the same stuff as every other year, last year everyone was so excited and so positive we would finally get a new high-performance quad, and what did we get, a new Rancher, not that I have anything against Rancher's, they are good quads, but they had to many of them to begin with.

well... the cr250f is coming in june, maybe the new quad will too, i work at my local dealer and we havent heard a thing yet, if i hear something ill be sure to post it:D

I think they are just putting new style plastics on the TRX90 and calling it the "new" sport quad. :devil
