I've heard of people putting the 400EX rear disk on a Z400 since the 400EX disk is drilled and all, but never heard of the other way around.

It would fit but I don't think you would want a stock Z rotor on your EX. They are solid and warp easily and then squeek like heck. First mod I did to my Z was put an aftermarket rotor on the rear. Problem solved! :D
