OK i have official information about the new YZF quad and the CRF quad !! these are from a very reliable source and i will not release my sources i can tell you this!! Yamaha is releasing a YZ450 quad NEXT MONTH!!(MAY) Honda fans you will see a 450R quad in December this is not BS this is it no more guessing this is it !!

all i was told was MAY is deffinite i was so excited that i didnt ask for exact release date but yes it is may something and the honda will be december !! now if you want to know about the honda i didnt get the full details about long travel and everything but i do know this much it is a 400ex chassis with a raidator that is what i was told !!

400grl NO IT IS NOT A CRapTOID frame its is redisgned from what i am told cause that was one of the first things i asked !!

Well - after all the posts we have seen regarding this new quad and that new quad supposed to be coming out, you have to expect people to be like that........nobody likes to get their hopes up a bunch of times and then get dumped on. I believe you because I've heard this from a few other places, too......and I'm not too excited about the Yamaha quad, anyway. Won't disappoint me if it doesn't happen - and it's pretty much common knowledge that Honda has had something going on for a while....Christmas sounds good. I believe you, you dancing banana!;)

Im a honda freak and i cant wait for a new honda !! i will buy one but in the same since i LOVE the arm ripping pulling power the YZ offers so to be truthful i will probably end up buying the yamaha at the end of the summer and the honda next spring !!

You know - it would behoove (yes that's a word!) Honda to have a chassis that would accept all of our bolt on parts that we have been putting on our 400's......that way we can swap our modifications onto the new quad and not loose any money......hehehehheh. Yep - that would be great.....:cool:

well here is what i was told about the chassis cause i asked if it was an R or a 400 chassis and this is what i was told !! "the new chassis is a 400ex chassis with a radiator no frame supports are modded or anything the frame is a little befier but thats it !!"

you heard the same abou the chassis? good at least someone is hearing the same and there is not a WHOLE bunch of mixed ones !! i think the HIPE is going to be well worth it !! and there are more then just one !! there is 4 of them i think

no my source has made a part for it and provided honda with the part !!

in a related topic, i guy i went to college with works for kawasaki, he said the other day that some prints went out to the machine shop to make jigs for a 900cc V-twin, probibly be in a 4x4 but you never know

Im not sure about that ? didnt think to ask i was truthfully just excited to hear when it would be here ill email my source and see if i cant get a little more info from him but it took a lttile to get just the release times and poweplants.

When i was out at the indy trade show there was a little industry buzz about the CRF i heard from a very very reputable source that honda's has been purchasing components from them to use on the quad. Sounds interesting, i work at a yamaha dealership so if by chance the YZF does come out I'll be all over it like a fat chick on a cup cake:p

lol, this could get good for the sport. If we got a crf450 quad and a yzf450 quad and a z400 chances are we might see them sponsoring riders and doing model changes every year to compete.(which could be a bad thing if you don't have a lot of money)

wrote my source i will see what he says hopefully he will reply if not then i will just call him !! if both of the stories i heard ARE TRUE! i think i might own a 250r,yzf quad and a crf quad !! like i have said before i love the snap of the YZF and the handling of the hondas !! so im going to be torn between the great worlds !! has anyone rode a Gas gas yet? i cant wait to see what this year has to offer in our sport !!!!

i got confirmation from a really good source that they are announcing the new bike sometime in June, if not earlier. Thats when the dealers are allowed to talk about it anyways. I didnt get any info at all on what kind of bike it is. New EX for sure though.

The Honda 450 Rumor is very true! I can't give my sourse but, it is a slightly detuned crf motor, no electric start, no reverse. The kick starter kicks forward. It has Ohlin shocks.

I know of 2 pro riders that have ridden the 450 Honda. Sorry, I don't know of any that have ridden a 650EX.
