Holeshot MX, or MXR

guys i was going to get some tamers and groove them for my race season coming up, but ive decided to go with the holeshots. But, i dont really want the mXr's because of how bad ive heard that they wear down. I ride on hard packed gravel, with some loose sections in the turns, but it really chews up your tires. so do they still make holeshot mx's? or what would be my best bet for tires?...also, what do you guys use to groove your tamers? and where can i get the stuff to do it..thanks

p.s. or what about those Kenda MXR and MXF Tires? they look pretty nice and come in an 8" that'll fit my beadlocks...

if your riding hard pack with small areas with loose gravel i think ungrooved tamers would be your best bet. the reason being 1. there cheap, 2 they don't wear too fast, 3. they are very good tires for hard pack, MX's and MXR's both wear very fast and are pretty expensive. as for the kenda klaw MX's i hear nothing but good things about them. i have never ridden them but i just don't see how they can hook up as good as tamers with the tread pattern they have :confused:

have you been smoking again justin....you quoted your own post.id say the tamers since they are one of the best hard packed tires made.ive heard the holeshots do well in the little looser stuff...id get tamers or klaws

i did it on purpose. im not talking regular razrs. The 18 inch rears and 20 inch fronts

yea lol..those razr mx are pretty nasty...good choice but i thought they were good for loose not as good for hard.i still go with the turfies

thanks guys, do to the no longer making of regular holeshot mx's i picked up some razr mx's from k&k...

ill give a review of them when i get them monday

yea dude, they dont make MX's anymore, they just changed them to MXR's, the only thing they did was space out the tread more and its lighter:)

and they went ot a total new softer compound that wears out even faster. They also took off and inch in the width.

they just want us to have to buy new tires more often:mad: ..they work crazy good though
