i got my riding boots yesterday, and im not used to shiftin yet, and its hard to get under shifter, should i raise it up some, so its a little bit better, plus im trieing to break them in

bingo... I had the same proab a couple weeks ago, but someone else posted a thread on the subjuect and everyone said to raise the shift lever... works much easier now..

u just need to know how to ride with them i never did. I just put my heel on the peg and slid it underand rode away man..........................:confused: i duno all the problems ur having...................................:macho

You need to break the boots in better. I'll take it you got moto cross boots like Alpine Stars or Thor and what you need to do is wear them..ALOT.
I wore mine around the house breaking them in for close to a month over the winter. Now they flex quite nicely.

You will get used to riding with them. it just takes a while.

just get them broke in and you will get used to them in time

i had the exact same problem, but you dont have to adjust your shifter as long as you remember that you cant just roll or slide your foot under the shifter and you have to take your foot off to shift pretty much everytime, this works great for me. dont get mad if it takes a while cause they are well worth the adjustment for the protection they give you.

Raising it up will probably help but shifting will become easier as you break in your boots and get used to them

Yup, raise the shifter up a notch. To break them in, the best way I have found is to walk around on your toes and bounce on them. It loostens them up pretty quick without the side affects of draging them behind your car and beating them with a bat.

wuts differnt with riding boots, are they stiff like all the way up so u dont break a ankle or somethin?

there only realy stiff right around the ankle, at least mine are

Pluss they are generally thicker in the toe area so they don't quite fit under the shifter.
