1) Why are manhole covers round? (the judges are not looking for "because its easier to move")
Bonus question: Why can you not buy cashews in the shell?

Manhole covers are round because that is the only shape that will not fall into the hole. For example a square one if turned diagonal would fall in if dropped. A circle not matter how it is turned can't fall in.

As for the bonus Q, my guess is that it doesn't have a shell?

XANDADA was first to get the main question correctly, p@iNn3ck was first to get both. I'll put the powerbands in the mail soon as acme gets some more. The coyote cleaned them out building something to catch the roadrunner:D
