What I mean is, would I want TCS zero preload shocks for a XC race or would the standard aftermarket shock be a wiser choice? I know ground clearence is in issue in XC.
I plan on running the WORCS race at Wasougal next month and I want to better my chances of placing higher and it's about time. :D Thanks for any input.

As far as ground clearence with the ssd - shocks, to quote a member on here when I asked the same question:

"buy some good skid plates and don't worry about the small stuff!"

you will only see the loss of clearance on the mainframe wich is not a problem. the swing arms ground clearance is what gets people stuck, ssd/zps does not change that though, only tire height
