Alright. I am going to have some money comming to me soon and i want some new A - arms. I ride in jersey alot. Occasionally some trails but not a whole lot. I wanna start going to some tracks around here and tyring my luck with that. So should i go with plus 1? Or would i be better off for some plus 2's? Any info would be great. Thanks

if your gonna stick with mx go with +2's if you are gonna do both trails and mx go with +1's. i would recommend houser i love my +2's and they just came out with a new style with more grease zerks and the houser sticker is glossed over so it won't come off but there are a lot of other good companies out there like hermann , leager, burgaurd....

dont have aftermarket shocks yet but i will. Yeah i rides trails occasionally but not often. And i doubt im gonna be a hard core mx racer. Just more or less ride for fun.

i just put +2+1's on my 250r, i have no problem in the woods, but then again i dont race xc. for the difference in handling, i will deal with the occasional dodging of trees. it was well worth it, and i will never go back to stock!

Get the +2's and get a 4:1 offset and bring it in an inch so your really only +1's then when u hit the MX track get 3:2 or what ever the stock offset it

ahh you can but when u go over +2 and u do that u kill ur spindles. 3+2 is good if u dont want to run wider a-arms but with +2's its bad to your shocks and calipers as it leaves your whole braking system for the world to see. Running 4+1 chanman is like running oem offset you dont lose and inch of width. Width is width! lol i think 4+1's is better all around because of the reasons i mentioned. i think 3+2's are only good for the dunes. also thanks ny300exrider its cost me out of the butt though! luckily got my front end cheap axis and merrell's.............................:devil and my rear axis too..........

3:2's don't leave your caliper exposed, 2:3's do. also, the stock offset is like 3.5:1.5. I've got +2 laegers with 3:2 offset rims and no problems at all.

:huh How is it bad on your shocks. Offsets have no effect on shock valving. and how is it bad on ur calipers? 400MXer was exatly right. 3:2 dont leave ur caliper exposed. Also stock is 3.75:1.75 or very close to it ( they are 5.5 inches wide stock). 3:2's u gain an inch and 4:1's u lose an inch. stock isnt 4:1. Also width isnt just width. go to the tech articles and see the one i did on rim offsets. The offsets add width but do not add control and stability like a arms will. They cause bumpsteer and push in turns. I recomend the 3:2's for any application except when running +3 a arms on a 400ex when u need to stay under 50. then i would say get 4:1's.
