I've done the searches, and I didn't get a really clear answer.
I have a 1987 250X that I want to upgrade. It's just an extra bike, in case I have a buddy that want's to go riding, so it's not really worth putting a ton of money into.
I can get stock A-arms for a 400EX or 250r much cheaper than aftermarket extended a-arms, and either would be wider than the stock a-arms on the 250x, correct? Which would be easiest to bolt on to the 250X? Can I use the spindles, brakes, and from the 250X, or will I need to get new ones along with the 400EX/250r a-arms?
I recall that the stock 250r shocks are shorter than the 400EX shocks. Can I use stock 250r shocks with 250r/400EX a-arms on my 250X?
I have a stock axle for a 250r, and will probably soon have a stock axle for a 400EX (I'm upgrading my girlfriend's quad). Can I use either of these on the 250X to widen the rear?
It's not worth it for me to start cutting and welding anything, but I have not problem grinding anything down to fit. I'm just pondering, since I already have a 250r axle, 250r front shocks, and 400EX a-arms, can I use any of these things on my little project 250x, effectively widen the wheelbase without a significant cost increase?
