A Z50 is a little 50cc fourstroke dirtbike made by Honda. Now Honda has the XR50 which replaced the Z50. Thier good bikes to learn on or even for adults to use for pitbikes.

Make sure the masterlink clip is facing the right way and the chain isnt real tight. It wouldnt be a bad idea to just get a new chain and sprockets if your keeping the 50.

sounds like you need to get ur big dumbass off the 50 and onto a bigger machine or atleast learn how to maintain the 50.

sounds like your chain is to tight the most common mistake people make is they don't relize how tight the chain will get when there suspension is compressed even if you adjust the chain with some slack it may not be enough when the suspension is compressed read your manual and make sure you putting the right slop in your chain

actually............the xr-50 did not replace the Z-50. Last time I was at the dealer, honda still offers BOTH the xr-50 and the z-50.

maybe that dealer was selling a used Z50. i'm almost 100% positive the XR took the place of the Z. a while ago some kids had to buy us a new 50 since they stole our z50 and wrecked it. well they had to buy us an XR instead.

I see the honda website no longer offers the Z-50, but when I bought my kids XR-50 in 2000, honda was still selling both models as a 2000 year model. Maybe the bikes I have seen in dealers since then are indeed left over models. I never paid any attention really.

2000 was probaly the last year for the z-50s then because i know when we went to go buy mydads 2000 trx300 4x4 the ranchers were just coming out as 2000 models and i have 2 2000 brouchers, one with the trx300fw and one with the new rancher so you are proaly right about what u said 4-punks, honda was probaly just trying to get rid of thelast z-50s so they called them 2000 but were the same as the 1999. same thing hapeened to my dad with his trx300fw, if we would have waited 2 more weeks we could have had the first rancher in the area but my dad said now or never andat the time i was ok with now
