Parts compatability

I am considering buying a PEP rebuildable steering dampener but I have an FMF powerbomb header pipe. I have seen this same dampener installed on my freinds 400ex but he has the sparks pipe and it has a bend that is closer to the engine. With the bend of the FMF it looks like it might get in the way of the stabilizer,or get too close and heat it up and make it fade while riding. Has anybody installed a PEP dampener with an FMF powerbomb pipe and did it fit? Thanks

dont get a PEP dampener....i know a guy that has bad luck with them and i dont like how they mount to the enigne mount..gets in teh way of checking the oil etc..get a speed racing dampener..they work great and no problems what so ever of that getting in the way of my header
