thats the truth

now i just build my own

however the next laptop i purchase will be an alienware

( and the reason they are so high priced is because they go through a very vigorous check and benchmark ....if the fail or lack in any way...they dont ship and they are rebuilt....plus they are tuned to pretty much demolish any game you wanna play...and then some)

that alienware is a year old.....never a problem...besides xp throwing the occasional fit:grr

Dell makes a pretty good computer. Just bought the wife a screaming dell laptop. Its what she wanted, a dell, no other.
The one i'm using right now is a desktop pentium 166, 96 megs of ram. 56k dialup. Slow, but ok for text and small internet stuff.
Now my other computer, it gets on down the road;)
Dang, i just counted them up, i have four computers, not including her new laptop!

Its an awesome system, as little as I do take advantage of its power, I haven''t marked it yet though.

Its mostly a school/gaming computer. Coarse the main game I play requires a 2ghz proc hehe.

Gateways are weird, basically it seems the same thing as dells, but they have glitches sometimes.. Alienware is pretty cool I haven't seen many of them though. My friend bought this computer from Tiger Direct and its a gaming computer that is liquid cooled, its nifty, the liquid is neon green and you can see the inside through it.. But again, its a POS machine, he wasted his money.

I don't even know if I'll ever need faster then my computer, and I really dont want to spend another 3 grand for another unit. Besides sthis one is set up perfectly to the Dolby digital Surround sound system ;)

If you really are looking into a cheap computer Dell is awesome, my mother went and got a refurbished machine about a year ago, for $600 she got a P4 1800, 512 MB ram, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, GeForce4 64 Megs, and more goodies.

Dell Rocks
