valves/T alignment

I'm trying to adjust the valves on my 300ex. The tech article says to rotate the motor and alighn the t with the noctch. I rotated the motor and i see 2 T's, one is right side up, and the other is sideways, which one should i use.

One is a "T" the other is an "F". Get a good flashlight and take your time.
