A good ratio to use is 32:1. That's 20oz of oil to 5 gallons of gas. Spend $3 and get a ratio rite or other premix measuring cup, it'll save a lot of time.
A good way to mix is put 1 gallon of gas in your can, put the oil in, then put the rest of the gas in. If it sits for a long time make sure to slosh the can before you pour to make sure the oil is still mixed up evenly.

Since most bottles of pre-mix oil are 16 oz, the easiest method I've found is a gas can with good marks on it, fill with 4 gallons of gas, and add one 16oz bottle. This will give you 32:1

I don't mean to insult you or your intelligence, but it sound to me like you don't know a lot about ATV's, or don't have much experience with them.

A banshee is not a quad for a beginner, or the faint of heart. They require a lot of skill to keep under control. Be sure you know the dangers you are getting into before you make your purchase, and proceed with caution.
