I'm running a stock 400ex. I ride trails that have a lot of dust, mud, and water. I also ride at the sand pits.

I was wondering what you all would recommend to use for a airfilter? I was hearing that the K&N airfilters let in to much dust. UNI airfilters are popular, are they any good?

Is putting a pre-filter any good?

I also don't want to do any jetting.

So what do you all recommend?

I agree this has been done to death but to help you out I would say K&N is better for sand and Uni is better for dusty areas. The K&N will give you more power and be very reliable as long as you keep it clean and properly oiled. You should rejet with eather one to get any kind of power out of them.

STFU!!!!!

To answer your question David. I run a K&N with an outerwear and don't have any problems with it. A uni is a very good filter also. Either would be a good choice.

I use a UNI filter with a filterskin on it. You should look into getting filterskins if your going to use a UNI filter or any other foam filter because they catch most of the dirt and stuff so you dont have to clean your filter as much.
