87 R swingarm on 88 frame

Will and 87 swingarm fit on an 88 frame? What are the differences? Thanks, Anthony

I think one year they changed lengths didn't they? Can't remeber if those are the years or not though.

I tihnk they changed the legnth in 88. But I was kinda wondering if it would still fit also. I thought it would but I'm not sure.

yep it will fit 88-89 is i think one inch shorter than 86-87 the only problem is 88-89 frame has 2 rear motor mounts built into the frame 86-87 has a u bracket that goes thru swing arm and bolts too the motor in two places some crack the lower motor mount cause you only have three instead of five motor mounts when i did mine i just fabed up a lower rear mount and had no more cracking troubles handels much better for gncc or flat track turns faster and rides wheelies better
