It is possiblable (I believe Nausty has a pic of him doing it...) I know 3 people who have done it on 400ex's and a Raptor. Your friend must of had to much weight on the front tires, you need to hit it will all your weight on the rear tires! Sleds do work a lot better, I know mine does :devil I have ran a good bit of water on it. :D

Yep, I have seen some pics of guys actually gettin it done. I think his main problem wasn't the weight transfer to the rear, but the BEER transfer to the belly :ermm: :macho LMAO

man that would suck. it is totally possible i have done it during the winter on a lake that was frozen with like a 15 foot wide 20 feet deep open water spot. me and my friend studded our tires and hydroplaned across it . the trick is you cant have it toped out when you get to it you have to have a little more when you get to it to raise your fronts a little bit. but man that would suck to be that guy

Most of the sleds are putting out 100+ horse power! And the tracks are just big paddles pushin that water. The trick with the sled is taking the snow flap off the back to let the water fly out there :D You can slow down a bit on a sled but 60mph is usually a good speed to be going on the water with a sled :D (the weights is more on the sled thats why quads can do it at lower speeds) With a quad you just need to keep the weight on the rear wheels and dont try and turn like on a sled!
