A friend has a RPM Dominator and an antifade nut I can buy at a reasonable price...now the axle & nut is for a 250r.

Can the 250r setup be used on my 400ex???

Replies appreciated, thanks!

Yes the R setup can be used on yoru quad. If your using it for racing, just measeur it with the rears wheels and tires mounted on it. You have to be below 50 inches. Other than that everything else should work!!

you must use the rear wheel hubs off of a 250R for it to work

the anti-fade locknut has a smaller bolt pattern for a 250r rotor, but if you switch over to a 250r rear brake setup thats good too, unless you find a rotor with the same small bolt pattern as an r with the diameter of the ex thatll work too. check on a 350x rotor.

D14 and kdawg..thanks, I was actually getting a little frustrated with this project...although really like the beefy Dominator...

So far, i have located 2 sets of hubs, 250r rotor and calipers. RPM suggests a washer system ( they can provide) to finalize the conversion. The washers maintain correct chain alignment as the converted axle is slightly missaligned and increases chain wear. RPM also mentioned it is then possible (due to smaller rotor) to grind down the swingarm skid mounts and increase the ground clearance on the ex..

I was looking to convert the axle from everyday xc and woods riding to a wider stance for the track by hub/wheel/spacer switch.
