Just got the wife's 250 back from the shop yesterday with powroll's 20cc overbore 10.8:1 piston and high ratio rocker arm kit. It is awesome! I know there have been a few posts in the past about this kit but I would like to share my impressions of it. We are running 110 octane in it and you can sure smell the difference. After I did the break in we lined it up against my cousins' bone stock 250EX for a 100 yard pavement drag. It beat it by (are you seated?) 12 bike lengths. Before when it only had a big gun full exhaust, jet kit, and K&N filter with the airbox lid off, I could get the stocker by about 3 bike lengths. I still need to fine tune the jetting. We are running a 119 main jet in it now which was four sizes larger than the recommended jet in the jet kit. I expected it to blubber on the top end and I was going to work my way down to the proper jetting, but it didn't. So I am going to get a few sizes larger jets until I am sure it is in a rich condition and bump it down one size. We also had the machine shop perform a 3 angle valve grind. Honda says that you cannot do this because of a special coating on the valves. That is complete BS. They are trying to protect a product. As long as the machiniest does not grind to deep on the valves past the coating it is fine. For a non-overhead cam air cooled 250, it is one ripping wife's bike!!

It makes a stock 250EX look pathetic but my neighbor's 400EX can easily eat it for lunch. Its just a hopped up beginners bike. I actually ride my wife's 250EX more than my raptor. It is light, does great whelies, and is fun to hammer on.

"High ratio rocker arm kit" I have never seen that b4. Is this lingo for hardfaced rocker arms? Sounds like she got a rippin ride..

The kit comes with a high ratio intake rocker. They have been used in automotive racing for years. It acts like a cam. It lets the intake valve open earlier, and close later. Not much aftermarket stuff out for the 250. It was either install the cam from Webcam with no piston, or try this high compression piston/rocker arm combo. 110 Octance smells good!:D (While your riding it, I am not a gas sniffer)

heh, think again pal, i beat stock 300ex with my stock 250ex, and he was a good rider, but i think his 300ex had some problems, but still, he got owned.
