PEP Shocks

Will the front 250R PEP Shocks fit on a 400Ex? What about the back shock? Thanks

I`m all most positive that 250r front shocks will fit the front of a 400ex. I don`t know about the rear shock though.

the rear will it just takes some inventive thinking... you have to remove that lil spacer thing from the 250r shock and make spacers for between the bolt and the shock eyelet..i had one on my 400ex and it loweres it about 2"... it would be great for flat tracking...toby

The fronts will, the ones I have came off a 250r. :)

the fronts fit no problem, and im sure you can get the rear to fit some how. but if you are serious about jumping and racing i wouldnt do it. the r is much lighter then the 400 and the engines are placed differntly, which greatly affects the handling and valving. on the 400, the r shocks will be too soft, they would need to be revalved stiffer.the rear is even worse because its not even the same length, plus the fact that like 51 said, you need to somehow make a spacer for the top shock mount. im not saying that it can be done, im sure you can get it to fit physically but......, if i learned anything from my years of riding wheather it be dirtbikes or quads its, DONT TAKE SHORT CUTS ON SUSPENTION. i think thats the most important part of my bike. esspecially if you like jumping and racing.

yep quad041 said a mouthful... it did bottom very hard off of lil jumps.... whne i blew my ultracross i couldn't take not riding so i got the r shock out and got it in there... but yea it would have be be valved very stiff..if i were yoi'd wait until i found a 400ewx shhock for it...just my opinion toby

Thanks for the replies. I am buying just the fronts from a guy I know. They are 250r PEP shocks valved for 165. I only weigh 130 so it might work out even better. They are $700 and in brand new cond.Let em know what you think.

Which shocks are they? The Race Fronts, Limited Mass Fronts, or the ZPS Fronts?

They are the ZPS.

$700 is a good deal then. I would get them.
