HEY, I'M GETTING MY HEAD FLOWED FOR MID RANGE. I WAS wondering which piston would go better with it. 11-1 weisco or 10.5 je. can you still get je pistons? or will they just send the weisco. its for stock bore size, thanks.

i have a J.E in mine now. If you haev the choice go for the 11.1. It will give you more power than 10.5, just make sure you run at least super premium in it.

And be careful which 11:1 you pick, because some 11:1 pistons require race gas (ex. 110 octane).

thanks for the info, does anyone have any problems with wiesco?

I don't have any personal experience with wiseco, but many people aren't too happy. Apparently they aren't very accurate with their compression ratios. Many poeple have ordered a 12.5 : 1 piston, but it actually ends up only 10.5 : 1

If that is the trend for Wiseco, your 11:1 could end up only 10:1 or lower, in which case you would be better off with the 10.5 : 1 JE piston.

something to investigate

You pretty much took the words out of my mouth.

i thought that was only for the 440 piston, does it still apply to the smaller bores. my other question was weisco bought je so can you still get their pistons?

Can someone tell me the difference between the top of the piston and the top of the cylinder on a JE or Ross piston. I am wondering if wiseco is just a couple thousands off and that is where the compression is lost. I know my wiseco was a couple thousanths from the top of the cylinder. I do know that the wiseco dome was pretty tall though. Also what is a compression reading from a JE or Ross piston?
