Well I removed the carb and started from square one (for about the 10th time). This time I pulled the air valve out of it and made sure it wasn't leaking, which it wasn't. I also removed the accelerator pump to find it full of mud. Cleaned it all out and reassembled everything but this time I went back with the DynoJet kit. Air screw 3 turns out, needle on 3rd clip and a DJ165 main. Runs like a raped ape now! I'm just glad to have it up and going again.

I've been reading most of your jetting problem threads. All I gotta say is "Its about time!" haha.

When I got this quad from Joe (4punksdad) it was 100% stock except for a modified airbox lid and it had a 155 Keihin main jet in it and ran great. I'm running a slip-on with a filter and no lid with a DynoJet 165 main but DJ numbers their jets way different than Keihin/Mikuni jets. I'm shocked that you're rich with a 416 and your mods with a 155 main. I know a guy that's running a Big Gun full system on stock bore with a 160 main:confused:

YZROOSTINYA, I find it very hard to believe that you use a 155 main, and expecially that you think it is still rich. It might run good, but you should really have at least a 160 or 165 in there. I run a 170 and it is pretty close to perfect. With a 416, cam, pipe, and especially with porting, you should be quite a bit fatter than a 155. Maybe you have some weird case, but to me, something doesn't seem quite right.

I have a 172 MJ and I think I am still a little lean WOT.
