oil puddling around valvespring?????

whats wrong when oil puddles around ur valve spring in the top of the head causing it to leak out on the header thru the valvespring cover gasket???????? this is for a 400ex

Oil in the valve spring area is normal - you want your springs, cam etc. to be bathed in oil. If it is leaking out of the valve cap you either need a new gasket, or your bolts have come loose, or maybe your cap is warped/scored.

yup, oils leaking out because of a bad gasket, or the cap / cap o-ring is screwed up..


if there was no oil up there, you'd know it in a hurry :D
