Hey, I am getting ready to cut my front fenders! What is the best way to cut them? I was thinking about using a hacksaw blade and then file them down? Any suggestions?

Ya use a hacksaw blade but go to home depot in the tool section and buy a handle it is really cool it's only like four bucks it is just a rubber handle that the hacksaw blade goes in makes cutting easy and safe:D

I'd use a chainsaw! If that don't work.. maybe a blow torch!

i used a hacksaw, then sanded them down to take out the ruff edges and to make them even:D

Tape off where you want to cut....Hack saw....Then sand down the edges then take a lighter and go over the edges....Brings the color back into them.... :macho
If you have a 400ex or w/e cut them and leave the nibs....Personally i like the way that looks....

i dont know wheather i should cut my fenders or not. I do ride in the mud a little, cuz i live in western washington where we get lots of rain, but i mostly do motocross. i was wondering how much more mud and dirt get on the rider if you cut it?

The mud isnt too bad....If you wear riding boots that helps from gettingwet and all but that usually doesnt matter unless its cold out then it sucks....

I guess I am kinda lucky, I got 2 sets, one cut, one not cut. What I did with the not cut tho, was cut after the indent from the bottom. So the fenders shorter now. This way I can still see the wheel, but wont get as much mud. Its kinda hard to explain.

Having cut fenders will cause you to mud yourself - I definately noticed that the first time I raced with them cut! But to me it's worth it so see my front tires....plus when you crash, there is less plastic to catch and crack or break.
